What better way to live green than to attend Councillor Michael Thompson Annual Community Environment Day event.  Bring us your unwanted, used and unused household items and you will help reduce emissions, protect our climate, and clean our air.  Extend the life of a product by offering it to someone for reuse. Reduce the amount of waste going to landfill and ensure that it is properly recycled.  Ensure that hazardous waste materials are disposed of safely.  All the Community Environment Days need is you. So hit your closets, basements, attics and garages for all the goods you can spare.

Giver- is a television program for kids, which airs across Ontario on TVO Kids. It is a show about kids designing and building playgrounds. Think Extreme Home Makeover but with kids making and building awesome fun fantastic playgrounds! www.giver-tv.com  

 * Scarborough Canada Day Parade - Monday July 1, 2013 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm
The 46th Annual Canada Day Parade begins at 4 p.m. west of the Scarborough Civic Centre on Brimley Road, ending at Lawrence Avenue East and Brimley Road at about 6:00 p.m. The parade will feature marching bands, drum and bugle corps, Miss Toronto, antique cars, clowns and floats.
